Sponsored by Friends Winterset Reenactment Committee

Overall (US) & (CS) Commanders
will be announced, at a later date...!!!

Its all about the battles... nothing but armies fighting it out...!!!
The focus is bringing back the Winterset reenactment as it was back in the early 90's and again allowing the Midwest a major reenactment again in Winterset's earthworks and fortifications, which make all difference...!!!
We will be concentrating on the battles and skirmishes all weekend and not a lot of smaller things which distract from the war time focus we are trying to portray for the weekend. Expect a lot of battles and military operations for this first reenactment.

The Madison County Bridge Festival
has been a time-honored tradition for over 50 years.
Each year on the second full weekend in
October, county residents gather under the brilliant hues of autumn to
celebrate their historic covered bridges.
The festival features old-time craft demonstrations by local artisans,
a wide variety of food, music and entertainment galore,
an antique vehicle parade, tours of the bridges
and NOW again, at the same time as The covered bridge festival..!!!
This will be our 5th Civil War Reenactment 1993- 2023.
